As I get ready for our upcoming trip along the California coast, I’m eyeing my list of restaurants which use and promote local fare. Local bounty breeds goodwill, as seen in these sixteenth-century paintings. Closer to home and to 2012, I’ll soon be foraging and eating locally-grown foodstuff from Big Sur Bakery & Restaurant and Fernwood Tavern while dining amongst the redwoods.
